Domestic Helper Fare

Passengers travelling with Domestic Helper Fare Economy class can enjoy up to 30kg or above checked baggage allowances. Baggage size and piece restrictions may differ by airlines.

Rebooking is permitted upon booking on Domestic Helper Fare. Penalty may apply subjected to airlines fare rules, a handling fee of HKD$420 per ticket will be charged by Hutchison Travel Limited as rebooking fee. Cancellation and penalty are subjected to airlines fare rules, on top of the airline penalties, a handling fee of HKD$420 per ticket will be charged by Hutchison Travel Limited as cancellation fee. Passengers should fill in passenger information and employment contract number with valid supporting document of employment contract or working visa upload to system for validation in order to complete online purchase.

Passengers have to present valid supporting document of employment contract or working visa at check-in counters and boarding gate for checking. Please make sure the validity of the employment contract or working visa during your travel period.

Providing invalid documents or the passenger name printed on the electronic ticket does not match with the employment contract or working visa will both result in a penalty and / or denied boarding by the airlines. Hutchison Travel Limited takes NO liability for any loss to the passenger.

Foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) who received full vaccination in regions where Hong Kong has reached a recognition agreement arrangement on their vaccination records (the currently applicable regions include Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka etc.) may come to work in Hong Kong and must undergo compulsory quarantine at a designated quarantine facility. As for FDHs who have received full vaccination in Hong Kong, Mainland, Macao or at places of stringent regulatory authorities designated by the World Health Organisation (including Thailand) they may undergo compulsory quarantine at a general designated quarantine hotel or a designated quarantine facility.

The Government announced that from 5 February 2022, the compulsory quarantine period for inbound travellers from overseas places will be adjusted to 14days in designated quarantine hotels, to be followed by a seven-day self-monitoring period.

According to Clause 3 of the Standard Employment Contract (SEC), FDHs working in Hong Kong must work and reside in the employer's residence specified in the SEC during their employment period. In view of the latest quarantine arrangement considerations, the Commissioner for Labour has, in accordance with Clause 15 of the SEC, given in-principle consent for FDHs who have completed a 14-day compulsory quarantine to stay at licensed hotels or guesthouses which are not DQHs/DQFs to complete the subsequent self-monitoring if requests have made by the employers due to considerations of the family situation or household environment. The quarantine arrangement is not necessary to make an application to the LD.
