EDO Wonderland Nikko Edo Village is a theme park where you can experience the culture of the Edo period. This cultural theme park recreates the old streets of the Edo period, the ninja village, the samurai residences and so on. At this theme park, you will be able to meet ninja, samurai, geisha and other interesting characters of the Edo Era.

Moreover, kids can enjoy a wide variety of Edo Experience Programs here. For example, Ninja Experience, where children can master the foundational ninja skills, including Ninja Star throwing, concealment and ninja running techniques; or Samurai Swordsmen Experience, where children can learn how to be a samurai. At Edo Wonderland, there is a great variety of performances that you can’t watch anywhere else, such as the breath-taking ninja show, the hilarious comedy show and the traditional Edo Performing Arts. This vast zoo is a home of approximately 600 animals. It consists of two areas: an indoor facility called “Town” and a vast grassland called “Farm”. The alpacas and capybaras are very popular with visitors in particular. Various performances by birds and small animals are held every day. You could spend time with your dogs at the dog-friendly areas or dog parks here. Moreover, there is a hot spring inside this zoo which you can enjoy after a long day of playing.

This is the largest amusement park in the North Kanto region. There are a lot of rides and attractions for parents and children to enjoy. In this theme park, you can enjoy various outdoor activities, such as mountain stream fishing, walk in the mountain and outdoor foot bath.

Tobu World Square is a theme park with skilful reproductions of 102 world-famous buildings (including 46 World Heritage Sites) on the 1/25 scale. For the “Modern Japan Zone”, it has many contemporary buildings such as Tokyo Skytree, New Tokyo International Airport and Tokyo Tower. For the “Egypt Zone”, it has very old buildings including the Great Sphinx of Giza, Abu Simbel Temples and the Pyramid of Menkaure. After visiting this theme park, you would feel as if you have travelled around the world.

This mobility theme park has two racing tracks and this is where they host the world championships. Apart from racing tracks, there are many other rides and attractions for children to enjoy. SUP stands for “Stand Up Paddle”. It is a new water activity that takes place at a dam where you stand on a large paddle board and use the paddle to row the paddle board. Everyone can enjoy SUP safely including children and beginners. You can bring your dog along and enjoy SUP together!

Tofu skin is one of the specialties of Nikko City. You can observe how “Nikko tofu skin” is produced at the factory. Also, you can experience scooping up the tofu skin and try out the fresh tofu skin here. The staff would explain to you the history of tofu skin and the difference between “Nikko tofu skin” and “Kyoto tofu skin”.

You will be able to create your own unique Japanese rice cracker here. You can draw your favourite picture on the rice cracker dough and bake it yourself. On the second floor, you will be able to observe a part of the final process of making Okaki (A type of Japanese rice cracker). Also, there is a “Free Drink Corner” where you could get a complimentary drink and try different types of rice crackers.
